On Martin Luther King Day, we made decorations to honor Martin Luther King Jr. As a class, we made a drawing of Earth with drawings of us around the outside ring. Above the drawings were self-written way of how we want to one day change the world. As a school, each class made decorations on their classroom door. In social studies, we watched a documentary on Dr. King's life. It showed us several things about him we hadn't known before. In language arts, we did several worksheets including one that was a timeline of Dr. King's life.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Johnson's 5th and 6th Graders
