Hearts and Pancakes
Today the school split up by grade level to have Pancake Day. The reason why we do this event is because today was Abe Lincoln's birthday. We have pancakes because it was his favorite food to eat. For the pancakes the kids use an old recipe close to what Abe might have used. Thanks to the amazing parent volunteers each kid got to have 1 or 2 pancakes. It was loads of fun to do this!
We will also have a Valentines party tomorrow. We will deliver our Valentines (if we haven't yet,) to each of our classmates! Then we get to see what we got in our bags that we decorated. We will also get to play games. It will be lots of fun!
Sincerely,
Mrs.Johnson's 5th and 6th Graders
