Iowa Assessments Week

We are reminding you that Iowa Assessments are this week. Make sure to be prepared everyday by getting enough rest and eating a good breakfast everyday.
In our homeroom class we are doing some interesting experiments in our weather unit.  One of the experiments was trying to get cold water up to 30 degrees and by not mixing it with the hot water. Another one was about uneven heating; we went outside to the front patio for thirty minutes and every three minutes we would take the temperature for water and soil. After fifteen minutes we put them both into the shade. After we looked back at the results and we found out that water kept the heat in much longer than the soil. Although the soil got up to much higher heat it got out much faster.
In our social studies class we are learning about slavery and how the slaves were traded from West Africa then they took the Middle Passage when they made it to the U.S.A, they were sold at auctions or scrambles. Although four out of every ten slaves died on the way to U.S.A.
